Company
Gianni Doglia has produced wines in Castagnole delle Lanze (Asti – Piedmont) for over three generations. Owner and wine maker Gianni has a deep knowledge and love of the region. Supported by his sister Paola, and aided by the experience of their parents, they cultivate sixteen hectares of vineyards located in the municipalities of Castagnole delle Lanze, Coazzolo and Nizza Monferrato.

Remembering one’s origins is fundamental for us, because handing down family values from generation to generation is the greatest sign of modernity that there can be.

Grampa Genio
A man with vineyards in his heart.

In 1947 Eugenio Rivella known as 'Genio', after having
worked for a few years as a sharecropper on a farmhouse
in its country of origin, Castagnole delle Lanze in
Frazione Annunziata, he decided to buy it in order to
be able realize his dream: to make wine from the grapes
from their own lands.
The grandfather was always assisted and supported by his minor
daughter, Marisa: enterprising, stubborn, versatile,
optimistic, mother Marisa was the right hand of
grandfather and still represents, thanks to his
experience, the soul of the company.

Bruno e Marisa
Accuracy and dedication.

In the eighties the management of the company was
entrusted to his son-in-law Bruno who, together with his wife
Marisa, continued with renewed enthusiasm
the family business: attentive and precise, producing wine
for him is like building a precision watch;
nothing should be left to chance, from the vineyard to cellar
because wine is constantly evolving and also a
small mistake can ruin a whole year of work.

Gianni e Paola
Ambition, optimism, passion.

Gianni Doglia, son of Marisa and Bruno, after the studies
in Enology and Viticulture at the university of Turin and some significant professional experiences,
begins in the year 2000 to deal directly with
the continuation of the path of the winemaking history
of the Doglia house.
In 2001 Gianni vinified Moscato d'Asti for the first time
from the vineyards owned by the family and began to
write the new pages of the family business
book. Since then, every vintage, every harvest,
every bottle that leaves the cellar is a discovery, an
emotion and an extraordinary opportunity for learning
and growth for Gianni.
Over the years, Gianni has not only established himself
as a reference point for Moscato d'Asti, but
he has also become an interpreter of the great red wines of
Monferrato.
In 2013, his sister Paola,
Gianni's right arm in the administrative and
commercial part, joined the company.
In 2022 Gianni was selected by the Gambero Rosso
I Vini d'Italia guide as "Winegrower
of the Year". Gianni dedicates this prestigious acknowledgment
primarily to his family which has allowed him
to interpret his territory with its wines and secondly
and secondly to Monferrato, the land that
has always welcomed him.
